Nipper's Beach Bar and Grill on Great Guana Cay is one of the most touristy spots in all of Abaco. We were told by our taxi driver to go there first-- because every Sunday (and we left base on Sunday) Nipper's throws a huge Pig Roast (an all you can eat kind of thing). Now, being from Memphis and just having had Memphis in May International BBQ fest--this was something we had to check out.
What we were told was something fun was pure mayhem. Could there be anything farther than our idea of relaxation (well.. maybe Disney World). I think every American in the Abacos showed up today for what could be called a
Spring Break Party for adults...kind of like the middle-aged version of Panama City Beach (we could barely walk through the mass of people to get to the beach). Lloyd lasted all of 60 seconds before he made a run for the other side of the island. We let the kids swim for an hour off the beach before we made a run for the hills ourselves.
